Hi guys,

I'm currently running Tein NR "shock/spring" combo in my 32, which came with the car.

I was just wondering, they are 4-setting height adjustable, separated by 10mm. Do the grooves that circulate it show the different height settings? If that is the case... mine can only go down another 10mm. Which puzzles me because the car looks REALLY high... stock height, if not higher! Surely height adjustable suspension should be lower than stock when on the 2nd lowest setting!

Appreciate your thoughts.

Hi Andrew, the only answer is to meaure it, centre of wheel to guard on each corner. Standard when new is ~380 mm front and ~370 mm rear.

:P Cheers :)

Well, I found that the measurement between wheel centre and guard is exactly 360mm on both front and rear wheels. Which means, given that stock height is the highest setting, the rears can come down another 10mm, and the fronts another 20mm. /sigh... Might just stick a new set of springs in, I was hoping to drop the rear 20mm.

350 mm on the front is OK, I wouldn't go below that for best handling and ride comfort.

340 mm on the rear is the minimum for for traction, best handling and ride comfort.

For camber kits, please keep the following in mind when lowering yours. This is what is usually needed for each height increment, note that all measurements are centre of wheel to guard;

Standard (new) height is 380 mm front and 370 mm rear

360/350 mm needs only the standard rear camber adjusters

350/340 mm needs 1 front camber kit and 1 rear camber kit

340/330 mm needs I front camber kit and 2 rear camber kits

:thumbsup: cheers :D

Just a quick question SK.

How do you use a 2nd set of camber adjusters on the rear as the inner already has the factory adjutment. I would have thought that the crush tube could rotate if the right bolt isn't used to lock it in place.
