Yep - I think Jash was taking it easy & there's still some work to be done in terms of tuning I believe.

He wasn't launching it like a GTR should be to get quick times - even he told me that when I had a quick chat & perve at his turbs.

My turbos wont handle any more boost without the chance of problems - I'm gonna pull the heatshield off just to check that they are standard though cos I found some other surprises on the car already:)

Gearbox is toast, definately need something either a strengthened 20 box or 25 cant decided yet.

Jash has a rather bitey tripple plate OS in that thing from memory, when they bite, they bite hard and on a stock box, launching some 7-800 horse at 7 grand will destroy it in a flash..

the 34 when it ran only had a twin plate hks clutch which is more an organic than a brass button, and was rated for 600hp not 800, so it would slip a little, extending the life of the stock box..

its the same thing all the rex guys do, go and stuff a brass button into it, pop the clutch and boom there goes first, ive left mine stock, done an untold number of hard launches from 4000 rpm to 5500 and it never blew first, the box still goess, all be it rather noisily now after 50,000 clicks..

a sacraficial clutch is better than replacing a box..

Well I've got to replace the box now anyway. Shat 3rd again on the last run of the night - Hello PPG? We were running 1.2 Bar Boost which isnt anywhere near peak efficiency for the 56 Trim 3037s I've got. Launch Control could do with going up to 7000 or 7500 just so I can leave the line on real boost. Plenty of tuning left in it too, it was only given a cursory "11.5 all the way thru" tune during the week. Was quite happy with the trap speed tho - I ran regular 123-124mph which means about 550 are gettting to the ground. And yeah when the Nittos are here and I've got some real cogs then 10s are a POP.

Lumpy? Hello? The weight difference is worth a cupla tenths...WASCC can get f**ked, as can CAMS, besides which I've done more laps around Wanners than anyone this side of the Jaffeyfool - its well unamusing.

Launch techniques... mine sucks... whats the best way to get a 2.1 60' time? Lastnight I think I was revving to around 3000rpm and then dumping it, which resulting in the clutch spitting the dummy and have to shift into 2nd almost straight away. Slipping it gently around 3000rpm resulted in a 2.5 60' time. Any idea's guys? I think I might get ross @ perth clutch place to have a looksee and see if I have damaged his clutch, cos I'm sure the last-time I went (I was getting 2.4's, with it only being installed about 1-2 weeks prior) it was hooking up a lot better. Might be best to let someone like rev210 drive my car next time too, I suck

try and ride the clutch a little, and if the car redlines straight away from wheelspin dont just put it straight into second cos youll bog down and have to build boost again in 2nd gear. if you get huge wheelspin off the line youve got to feather the throttle, dont just get excited and plant it. make sure youve got decent speed in 1st before changing. if you floor it and dump the clutch it will just wheelspin...

J'ASHs MPH is good for 10.6 and the weight of the car means

550hp so when the thing gets sorted its gonna piss.

Managed to make it down with Cam (Caminperth).

Was pretty impressed with the general efforts, especially GOTBOOST. Changed my perception of the RB20 for ever, i think.

Managed to meet a few of you guys too, though my capacity for retention of names is RS, so I have promptly forgotten whom (usually about 5 times is a good consistent conversion rate).
