Well i'll be running an rb25 pfc in my rb24det using the rb20 loom and sensors in the next week, from what i can see of the wiring diagrams carl h is correct. should just bump and run.

when using one of these does all the options show correctly on the power fc controller?

i also was under the impression the series 2 ran different coils, the power fc's have the same part number so is that more wiring related?

in respect to the gtr power fc, from what i also understand it runs exactly the same pin out however the afm's need to be run in parallel and likewise with the oxy sensors. is this correct?

when we tried this on my buddies car it booted up fine and started right away, put it into the monitior mode and it displayed everything that would normaly be displayed on the rb25pfc.

played around with it and to check that the car was indeed running right lowered the revlimit to 1.5k and low and behold it cut at 1.5.

I think the RB25 PFC is a better bet for an RB20 than the GTR model, reason being that the RB20/25 share the same type of knock sensor (resonant) and the RB26 uses a flat response (non resonant) sensor.

The RB25 PFC is designed to work with the type of knock sensor that the RB20 has.

hey mate heres the pinouts for r32 rb26 ecu

rb26 ecu pinouts

are you sure this is correct? these pin outs are almost the same as the rb25 sheet here (incl the injector grounds which are different)

if you check the loom on rb20det.com you will see there is a difference between the rb20/20 det and i was always under the impression the r32 rb series had the same loom

POST EDITED

Loom is correct. I have the manual for ca18,rb20de,det,rb25de,rb26dett (r32) and it looks like that changing to a rb26 power fc you also need to swap 112 & 114 pins around + the rewiring of the afms etc

Using an rb26dett loom on an rb25de (r33 head) the differences are

Differences

* Wastegate valve control solonoid (dont see why u wont need it anyway)

* AFM Ground (wire afm in parallel and would be fine or dejetro)

* AFM Intake sensor front (depending on what one you use you could run 2 or wire as above, i think the 26 expects a different air temp sensor though)

* Intake air temp sensor

* Throttle valve switch (dont have a clue what this is but affects r32 also)

* Fuel pump terminal control output 1

* Fuel pump terminal control output 2

* Sub electrical fan relay

r32 rb25de(Loom is basically same as rb20det, however rb20 has a fuel control terminal volt control output and FICD solenoid input signal.

rb20/25de (r32) with r33 rb25 computer

Differences

* FICD solenoid input signal (not used by r33 computer or rb20det loom)

* Swapping of injectors to suit loom 112 & 114

* Throttle valve switch (isnt on r33 loom)

r33 rb25de loom is the same as rb25det

some things we may need to clarify( i think they are for the slushbox) so power fc wont support them anyway

* Throttle sensor output signal (Says to A/T C/U)

* Throttle valve switch power supply

* Intake air output signal (Says to A/T C/U)

* Engine A/T control input signal

    • Evening fam, Pretty much what the title asks, I have looked all over and can’t find a proper answer expect one post from almost a decade ago which is vague. ive seen photos and they look pretty much identical, would an r33 GTR N1 reo work on an r32? reason I ask is they are cheaper to buy… $700 compared to 1k+ for an r32 n1 reo

    • Yeah was thinking that. I've had the car go lower idle possibly around 650rpm every once in a long time after pouring fuel and would sound quite rough like a misfire, almost like it's shit fuel or something but who knows.

Great event last year and hoping for the same this year.    I've emailed them to ask to set a location aside for the Stageas for the show and shine - they are happy to do so if we can get them numbers, I'm happy to keep track of that. Entering as Nismo category.    I'll be road tripping up from Melbourne, would be cool to convey if people are interested, maybe there is SAU convoys from each capital?
