Turbotech Boost Help

To anyone that has one of these controllers: I'm having dramas with mine as the boost keeps spiking above 10psi and i want to run 9psi. I'm not sure whether the screw needs to be right at the top or just below. Anyone in Sydney who can help call me on 0404 083 916. cheers, Chris

how far above is it spiking? what other mods do you have?

i have one and when it is all the way out it runs at about 9, but when i wind it in a little it drops down to 7, and if i keep winding then it starts to rise.

im going to go pick mine up this arvo, and was wondering if I should get a after market boost controller before installing this. otherwise where abouts should I have it display on the boost gauge on the cluster? jsut under the 7? I'm puttin on the fmic this weekend and new fuel pump.

what are you picking up this arvo, car, controller or gauge? i wouldn't go off the stock gauge to much. and 7 on the gage is about 14 psi (i said 'about' not 'exactly' so no one bite my head off). just get a boost gauge, any one will do and then you have a more accurate idea of what boost you are running.

I agree with mad, the original gauge is quite innacurate and i definetely recommend buying a gauge.

Evil, sirmark said somewhere in that 47 page topic that the minimum boost level on his controllers will be just above your standard boost, so perhaps you wont be able to drop it that low. (although i cant tell if thats standard boost or not, i dont know 33's)

minimum boost i get with a turbotech is about 8psi. r33's have a 5psi wastegate and the factory solenoid bleeds boost off to take it up to 7 after about 4500rpm.
