That's it mate! You COULD just cut the hose and fit it in between but when I installed it on my R32 GTS-t, I replaced the hose with longer ones to enable me to mount it away from the turbo to somewhere accessable. This will also stop you burning your fingers off while adjusting the boost.

You will probably need to remove a few pipes to be able to access the actuator + turob and fit a hose clamp!

Hope that helps!

These are really good controllers and I have even considered going back to it from my EBC.

ahh hmmmmm, thanx ummm.. So then just to make sure of the location can you do me a big assed favour and circle the area, or the pipe or even just the area its in?

thanks hehe

Ha Ha Ha, glad to be of service!

First time I have heard that! But I guess we all have to start somewhere and from reading all the posts from the extremely knowledgeable I will always feel like a beginer (although I have been doing this for a few years now as a hobby!)

I like to be able to assist and teach from where others have tought and assisted me!

We BOTH have a long way to go my friend but shout out if you have any further problems!

hmm so i set about installing the thing today, but i have run into a problem. The hose from the actuator to the turbo is very short and therefore i cant even reach it to plug the controller in. I have sort of rigged up a extension for the pipe (using some clamps and a thinner piece of hose which i put inside, to connect the hoses) so that i can run more pipe off it but i cant get it clamped down due to having only about 2 inches to work with.

So ill have to pull the hose off at the turbo end. Unfortunately i cant get into the end close enough to pull the clamp or the pipe. I can reach it with a screwdriver but the actual end will need some pliers and only has about an inch and a half of space. any suggestions? can post pics if needed.

yeh i have the hose, i was just trying to figure out how to hook it up. ended up putting slightly smaller hose inside the other hose to connect the 2 pieces of hose, with some clamps. The controller was adjusted rather high when i put it in though, it boosted to like 1.2 bar, ouch. Now time for the fine tuning, thx

Hey Mate, I would suggest using a metal joiner in-between the hoses if you must do it that way!

For all this mucking around you could have just removed some more pipes to be able to get to it! I just removed and refitted my turbo for the second time tonight so I know how it can be a pain but it will be rewarding when it is done!

Yo just throught i'd bump this old topic instead of making a new one, my turbotech controller that i'll be putting on the gtr just rocked up and i popped the bonnet and looked around confused... Where do i T- Piece it? I am assuming it would be off something on the left side of the engine heading into the inlet manifold correct? Anyway tried to search for an rb26 tap install but couldnt find 1

Just want to run 12 psi and hopefully get a bit more torque

The turbotech is really good for the price..you'll love it.

Ummm, have you had any luck? It's pretty simple when you undertand where it needs to go. Try the search function to locate pics. If you need rubber hoses they're dirt cheap from places like SuperCheap.

Good luck.

It's easy enough on a GTS-T but the whole GTR thing confuses me, i don't want to run it off a hose and only have control for 1 turbo, am trying to find a hose after the cooler to put it into

That link is useful for gts-t, but i'm too dumb to understand what you've ssaid without pics mike hehe

I think i confused people by bringing up a post about a gts-t and asking for help with my gtr lol :nyaanyaa:

I've had a few workshops tell me it comes from near the inlet manifold so cops probably won't discover it

Pic enclosed now, would this be it?

Dude you plumb the valve into the hose leading to the wastegate actuator/s.

Just follow this turbosmart guide:

Scroll to the bit about twin turbo setups.

Let us know how it goes
