Car Missfire At Cold Start, Missed Less When Hot?

Hi,

Just did a full services yesterday,

also changed the spark plugs to Iridium BKR6EIX

and in the morning, Start the car,

the car missing really bad, its feels like its runing on 5 cyclinders.

Drive for a while when the temp goes to the midle,

the misses reduces.

So i went and put back the old plugs, everything seems fine.

my mods are R34 IC, full exahust, POD, and boost to 11psi.

isthis common for carmiss fire when plugs regapped?

any comments appreciated!

Makes me not wanna gap my plugs from 1.1 to 0.8

What did you re-gap them to? and what gap was it at before?

I believe the original gap was at 1.1

I regapped them to 0.8

I thought it was the coilpacks, but took them out and tested them,

they seem ok!

I will try and put the 0.8 gapped back on again,

double check, see if it does the same thing.

if it is, then 0.8 is not suitable for me at the moment.

it wont work if you take them out and test them. as the current has nowhere else to go but to the thing your testing it with, where if its in your motor, you'd see it hitting your head. thats if its your coils.. it could be your CAS, afm's etc. anything to do with your timing.. its really just a process of elimination.

clean the inside of your coils with some steel wool or lightly with a dremil drill and see how you go.

just for comparison.. my plugs are gapped at .65.
