Dude attaching pics is screwed and its really pissin me.

I tried attaching more pics to my for sale thread last week. I uploaded around 10pics but they didnt show up when I posted it.

I have no problems but seriously you should be able to make the pics under 100k and then you should have no issues. If you are technically illiterate and you have windows xp you can right click a pic then send to email recipient then choose 'make my pictures smaller' then you can save them wherever and post them.

Ok, so a few different issues being reported here.

the 'screwed' issue could be many different things.. Your image is a meg, thats a touch large, try resizing it and uploading again or give me more info about what happens. You could also upload it to your gallery and then link to it.

cogs, did anything appear where your images were supposed to be?

hey Christian, I noticed for a while alot of the attachments were giving 404 errors when trying to download them.. mainly sound or movie files or word/excel documents I went back and tried one yesterday and it actually downlaoded so you guys might have already fixed that one

hey Prank, not sure what happened before, no pics appeared or anything just my text "pics". Maybe I did something wrong. I just uploaded 3pics then and they appeared fine. Thanks.

The tutorial section of "How to attach images to your posts" has no pics to guide the novices like me!

As do none of the tutorials for that matter. Are they able to be recovered or are they goneskies?

is there a reason for people's pic attachments all being renamed to "index"?

just makes it really annoying when saving...as you have to rename each 1 before you save it...
