yer, we got it sprayed already, but i can tell you that camerons at coopers plains did the work

been back there a few times for a touch up and woudlnt go anywhere else for my panel beating/painting needs

they are excellent

yer, the paint has sparkles all through it, looks awesome in bright sun, really shines

haha, its just been pointed out to me sedanlover that your car is my mates old 4 door

he sits next to me at work

the car looks much nicer now than when he owned it with its ugly 16" rims

good to see its finally being treated with some love and had some money spent on it!

i still have a piece of its original front bar on my desk here at work

wow, so much attention on my car! cool!

sorry, haven't checked out the forum in weeks.

ABOUT MY KIT: front bar is a very good GTR V-spec fibreglass copy. the side skirts and rear bar are some sort of veilside copy/rip off... acutually cannot wait to get rid of them. purchased the car as is, (but with shit 16" 3 spokes). my plans are to eventually fit a full m-sports kit!

the wheels you see in the pics are borrowed off a mate...going to buy them soon!

hey 12DFY... you drove past me on friday afternoon on reedy creek road. had no idea it was you (from this forum). good to see the 4doors uniting.

and yes we should organise a 4door only cruise!

Hey thats funny, I was thinking exactly the same thing. I was driving along and thinking to myself "bugger me that car looks familiar." Tis a nice sedan mate, got my attention anyhow.

Hey good to see interest in sedan only cruise. Let us know if you are interested and we will organise something!!!!!

i know a mate with with a bullshit R32 sedan (neo 6 in it).

and my mate just bought an R33 (to bad its a coupe)

i'm keen!

Cool, I have two 33 sedans here in my garage so thats a good start. (Thats if missus joins in). I may even leave the baby seat in too. (go the family cars)

oh yes! i have that picture many times over....i'm in love.

its funny, cause i first saw the m-sports catalog in a japanese magazine (option) and thought... i want a 4door R33 and i'm gonna put that kit on it.

and thats when it all started!

Ah yes drift barge you say, thats quite funny as since a skidpan is covered in water you are definately using the barge in the right place. Just kiddin

No i have only been at Gold coast area for four months so have not done skid pan. Let us know when its on and ill unleash my 220kw and my mechanical LSD in the appropriate manner. Been waiting for an excuse to do so.

My car started when i was 21 as a non-turbo and look what happened. So dont write it off as a barge!! + you probably use a tenth of the fuel.

heh, thats how i ended up with mine

i wanted something turbo, missus wanted something family

we all won

Not having a go at it being a family car mate, as I have family as well. 2 kids, everyone is a winner. My mates hammered me when I got it as then i was single and they were all like "get a couple blah blah blah." Perfect example they had coupes, we grew up and had families. Im the only one who still has a skyline.

Practicality and sports in one, you cant lose. You got my support as a family person!!!!

    • Hi. A little bit of an update. It maybe(hope not) looks like i would need a new tranny(it would be "maybe" a cheaper or better option anyway) So i need some info. I know i need a different propshaft(i can make custom one) LSD is not a problem cuz the engine will be still(for now) N/A RB20. So if i buy RB25DET NEO tranny...is there something else i need? I read something about push/pull type but i do not know if i need to "change" something or i can just plug n play onto my engine a go? Thanks for the advice
    • Good morning all, Bit of a random question but figured I’d finally throw it out after wondering for a long while. Before I start, I'm hoping to do this purely out of personal preference. I think it would look better at night, and don't mind at all spending a few hours and dollars to get it done. I've copied this from a non-Skyline specific forum, so I apologize for the explanation of our headlight switch setup that we all know. Here we go: Zero lights (switch off) Parking lights (switch position 1) being a rectangular marker on the outside of the housing, my low beam being the projector in the centre (position 2), and a high beam triggered by my turn signal stalk. Most North American cars I’ve owned of this era have power to the amber corner (turning indicator) light as part of the first switch (parking lights). I’d love to have these amber corners receive power when the headlights and parking lights are on (headlight switch), yet still blink when using the turn signal which is of course a separate switch. Hopefully I’ve explained my question correctly. Is anyone aware of a way in which I might be able to achieve this? Thanks in advance
    • My heads are cathedral port! It's likely possible, but I don't want to add any extra moving parts (I know they don't move) between the heads, manifolds, etc. It will also affect how injectors/fuel rails etc sit and I don't really know if it would change how the FAST manifold goes/sits/fits. I have the LS6 steam pipes already as I have a very late LS1 block so it should be fine. I couldn't find anyone who had ever actually used one for this purpose, it seems 100% of people grind the water pump. The thermal spacers are 12mm and are half way to the cost of the newer water pump anyhow... so if it comes to that I suppose I'd rather buy a new pump. The bearing in the pump I do have is a little.. clunky, but it hasn't done that much time and I never noticed it when the car was together in the past few years, so..
    • The bushing has failed, not all that uncommon for a car of this age.  Any mechanic should be able to push in a new bushing for you, or you can probably buy the entire lower control arm, complete with bushes.
    • Could you not use "thermal" spacers to give the clearance, like the ones I used between the blower and head? That raised the manifold height by around 10-15mm Albeit the ones I used were for cathedral ports, but I assume they have similar for rectangular ports????
