My R31 was an auto that was converted to a manual. I got it after the conversion was done but I know that if you do it, you need to re-calibrate your speedo as they go out by as much as 20kmph. Re-calibrating speedos is not cheap either.

jvs007: talk to meggala on this forum, he's done a conversion on his R32. I have done on mine too, but mine is a R33. Quite a big job but it's not something that a good skyline specialist can't handle.

R31 Chick: why are your speedo out by 20kph?? are you still using the auto speedo cluster? I changed mine to a manual speedo cluster, so should be pretty accurate.

well, I suppose the auto speedo will still have that shift indicator on it. P-R-N-D-3-2 or sumthing like that. If you convert to manual and still use that auto speedo, don't be surprised if the speedo reading is out. maybe because of the difference in gear ratios?
