Hey guys i just got a Turbosmart BOV Type 2

i took it to my mechanics he's reckons they're really shit and i should buy a better brand. His reasons were that they handle shit when you up the boost, i will be running 13-15psi and i was told that it will leak. Does anyone have this type of BOV and running around that much boost??

If so have they had any problems.

Thanks

for best efficiency you will want it near the throttle body.

the stock position is probably the best for that. installing it towards the front of the car where the cooler pipes are isnt gonna be beneficial to anything but the wank factor by gaining 1dB of extra noise.

SXC-32.

it will hold the boost fine.

If I were you, I would go to a performance place and buy the adapter kit so that you can mount it to the standard bov spot.

It costs about $50 at the most and it is simply and "L" shape metal fitting.

You bolt that on to the place of the standard bov, then you get a small rubber hose and attach your new turbosmart bov to it.

Plug in your vacuum hose and start the car.

Adjust the bov so that it is just shut on idle.

and you're off.!!!
