Burnsie.

I know people who have run 15psi through there stock ceramic turbo's on rb20dets. One guy i know blew his up after about 20 thousand kays i think.

Another of my mates was running 14 through his and his car ran fine for well over 50 thoudand, iv now got that same turbo for my GTS.

Some people are lucky i guess

tell me to shut up if im wrong but theres heaps of posts iv read in the past saying that stock boost is 6.8psi for the rb20det.

all my mates 32 gts't's read 7psi on there guages when they were stock.

may mate ran 8psi after his 3inch zorst was installed.

hold up you ARE using an aftermarket boost gauge right as opposed to the stock one thats on your dash (which isnt in psi! it reads in 1000mhg or something, 7 being about 14 psi)? 99.9% of topics say 10 psi is stock, and 12 psi is recommend (my boost gauge read at about 10.3 psi)

yeah im using aftermarket boost gauge but the one on my dash only goes to 7psi so thats y i thought 7psi must be stock and ive been told by heaps of ppl that they come out with 7psi stock but im prob wrong.

hmmmm, .55 bar is 7.9750000000000005 psi if u wana be exact

The stock boost gauge isnt in psi! its in some other reading, have a close look at it and itll say something like X1000mhg. At 7 on the gauge it would add up to about 14 psi, but as these things only boost 10 psi stock its rather innacurate (under full throttle mine jumps all the way to 7 which would seem to imply i was running 14 psi stock)

I thought the same thing.
