Hi I just resently purchased my first skyline and i was just wondering if it is normal for them to backfire when u rev it out in each gear then change up to the next gear. My car has 3inch cat back exhaust with large straight thru muffler on the rear. It only really backfires when i run it up to round 6+ on the tacho. I am thinking that it maybe running a little rich on fuel and under heavy acceration it must let a bit of fuel get out to the muffler.

Any info would be great.

Yeah my 32 does it a lot at the moment especially decelerating on boost and stabbing the throttle

VERY funny when people are behind my car when I do it

Scares the s**t out of them

Annnnyway I believe its because of excess fuel and burning it on deceleration maybe a dyno tune will fix it if it bothers you
