yeah mediocre tight... almost needs u to full lock the damn car cause the car is big...

Yeah sounds like thats probably more than half your problem. Cos its wet and your taking a tight corner and you rev to 3000ishrpm the same point as when your turbo kicks in, it's not gonna be too hard for the rear to slip out.

As far as tyre pressure goes, it sounds like you've got it too high aswell.

I put in 34psi all around(some may not agree with 34psi, most like 32psi). But you gotta remember to set your pressure on cold tyres. So in other words i put in 34psi cold tyre pressure.

true true but how about the front? your engine will be heavier hence it will press down on the tyres.

Should the front tyres be slightly more?

well, her rpm was below the 2800rpm mark. In fact around early 2000s only ...

and this is a stockie skyline. Hence, the turbo doesn't come into play at all...that's why i'm just a bit annoyed at.

I fear something is wrong and want to get it fixed but dont know what.

The RE01 tyres should be alright unless someone else has issues with it.

yeah 3000rpm when turbo kicks in, in the wet your rear ends gonna go sideways,

always happens so when taking off in wet try hard not to let turbo come on at all.

thats why good ol' auto tranny has a button call snow, forces the car to take off like a snail.

Few things. 1st, its a sports car, its meant to grip, so yes something is wrong, if its the car or not is the question.

So, is it ONLY that round-a-bout or all of them? I have found some really bad, like they have some buildup on them. If its just that one round-a-bout, put up with it, take it easy.

Is the car lowered at all? Could be excessive camber, and or the tyres wearing unevenly.

Im going with the stuffed rear shocks (and probably front as well). Just go push on the back up and down for a bit, then see if it keeps going up and down without you touching it. If so shocks would be goooone. Then its time for new shocks. If so get the SK kit, its the best, by far.

Well as far as i know its the same all around. Sometiimes the recommended tyre pressure is on the tyre or on the car (on a maintenence sticker inside the door arch or under the hood?) or in the owners manual.

The recommended tyre pressure is never given in 2 seperate figures for front and rear tyres.

As for not hitting boost, i still don't think its unlikely to slip out. You did say you tapped the accelerator as you were exiting.

You might have to take in other considerations like:

Was it the first wet day in a while? This can contribute to the slipperyness of the road due to the accumulation of rubber, exhaust etc settling on the road.

There wasn't any oil slicks or deisel or petrol on the road?

You get the idea.

As mentioned before if its not any of these it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get your rear shocks/suspension checked out.

yep the car is not lowered.

well so far it happened on 1 roundabout cause i didn't want to try it again on another...

are you tyres old and hardened? replaced them since importing?

all this tyre pressure talk won't make much of a different with road tyres.

they are like 2 yrs old i believe. Bought em' off a mate.

Do you think tyre shops(like bob jane)would be able to tell the condition of tyres?

I'm in melbourne cBD these 2 weeks.

thanks!

go out to your car and take a close look at the tyres. poke your nail into them and feel how hard they are to flex like that... and check if the rubber is cracking. my old falkens were like that - hard and cracking. would slide very easily in the wet.

if you go to a tyre shop and say "are my tyres broken, do i need to buy new ones from you?" they will say yes... ha ha ha.

"yeah that sounds a bit suss. Your tyres might be the problem here.

but could i also ask a question

has any1 had pineapples fitted to their 'line?

wanted to know what people's thoughts on them were..."

I don't have them, but i've heard they make huge differences in making the car more responsive and predictable when drifting and stuff.
