Hi all,

I have my turbo off and wondering what kind of half cast it is.

Just want to find a little more about it.

Markings are as follows:

Garrett front housing with the following:

A/R 60

HKS Rear Housing with the following:

064

And the Metal Tag thing says:

AL 6028J

GT 2530 - 63T

446179-21

I have a feeling it is a hybrid 2530

Anyideas turbo gurus. The turbine wheels look standard.

That is HKS's Skyline (RB20/25) specific GT2530 . It should have a T3 mount flange and the std single turbo Skyline type dump pipe mounting flange , also note the divider between the turbine and wastegate outlets .

The compressor cover is a modified TO4B .60AR Garrett , they've machined off the snout and made their own up and bolted it on with the four hex head bolts .

It would be interesting to see it with the snout removed . I think HKS did this snout mod because most TO4B covers had a 2.75 or 3" inlet boss and they wanted to have the boss OD down to typical T3 size - 60mm or 2.35" .

Its currently making about 180rwkw on 11/12 pound just basics

Yes they are ball bearing. Same wheels as the GT28RS except the compressor is 63 trim instead of 62.

got an exact one on my rb20

strong midrange....apparently in its effiency zone @ ~1.2bar, dunno if that is true
