Get the crank crack tested, its simple.

There is no difference between the R32/R33/R34 cranks except for the oil pump drive on the R32 ones. Just get a collar fitted and you wont have any problems. Talk to Greg at Pro Engines (www.proengines.com.au). He makes the collars exactly the same as the JUN ones using hardened steel and only charges about half the price. The nose of the crank has to be ground down, then the collar is pressed on (using a 40 ton press I think it was) and grub screwed in for good measure.

The weakest part of the crank is the rod bolts. Use ARP 2000 rod bolts and you wont have any problems with it. As an example, I have been running over 300kw on an R32 crank (which is now 13 years old) for almost 3 years now. Recently had the crank out of the car and it was still in perfect condition.

You will be waiting a bloody long time for a brand new crank. Nissan JP dont even have any in stock, and they will fill all there back orders first before they even think about sending them overseas. Thats assuming they come back into production....
