Does anyone know if the tyre size for compliance is based solely on each compliance workshops own setup. Was wanting to know if there is any other way of being able to use 235/45/17's as the tyre for compliance?

as opposed to 225/45/17's

anyone been through anything similar...managed to get a favourable result..

I mean its no biggy really.. just a few extra bucks to replace the tyres afterwards.. but theres about $40 per tyre difference in the 225 versus 235 and a whole lottta better tyre quality

My R32 GTR is being complianced at the moment, tyres had to be new 225/50 (same as standard). However I got away with using 16x6.5" rims (from GTSt) instead of 16x8" rims (from GTR)..

What car do you have?

i was told for the gtr to get comlaied i had to have 235's all round.

and that im not allowed to have 255's at the back?

steve

you can only use the size tyre that is on the tyre placard inside the drivers door which for a 32 gtr is 225

its illegal to have tyres of a different size on your car anyway

ALL $ TYRES MUST be the same diameter aspect ratio etc unless it came out with with different sizes which would also be stated on the tyre placard
