Guys,

Dont you hate it when your clutch slips so bad that the car basically refuses to roll anymore? I DO !!!

Im guessing the jap driver used to thrash it, as i would be considered a granny driver the way i have treated this thing upon its arrival to Oz - so i doubt it was 'old'

Basically, i need a new clutch. I dont need an expensive heavy duty wham bam thankyou mam type one... Just something that is going to make it run half decent for when i sell the bloody thing.

I had been quote $792 installed - clutch incl.... Or $282 for labour when supplying my own clutch kit. I dont believe id have to pay $500 for a clutch kit.

Justjap are selling the nissan clutch kit for $300.... Any ideas of where i could get anything cheaper if available?

As i said, i only need to get this thing to drive decent so it sells.

Cheers,

Steve.

Group buy for an Exedy HD clutch, a nice step up from the standard one but not too serious. $320 for the whole kit. Otherwise talk to a local shop and they most likely have or can get a OEM type replacement unit.

Good luck =)

Ah yeah, just noticed the group buy.

The 792 was the quote from the local shop hhaha - rough huh!!

thanks again!

I'm having the same problems too. I've posted a thread up as well. Was wondering how much longer can the clutch take before it dies out.

I was quoted $300 by a mechanic to do it. If someone knows someone who can do it for less, please let me know!!

Wesky, where's your mechanic that quoted u $280? ;)

    • Hi all! Looking to relocate the battery to the trunk of an R34 GTT. I want to do it using as many stock GTR components as I can (including the harness protectors from the 34 GTR that run underneath along the chassis to the engine bay). So far I’ve purchased the battery tray from a 33 GTR, as the captive weld nuts are already there just asking to be used. There is also the slight issue of now having to relocate the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU, which in GTT’s sits right above where the battery will then sit on the tray. Has anyone already achieved this, and if you have any pics that you wouldn’t mind sharing? It would be great to see how others have done it and where you put them, as there are countless holes in the parcel shelf panel to potentially use. Just trying to get some ideas bounced around, and to help uncover any potential problems I may encounter by  my choice of location. TIA for any help!
    • Brand was ard.   I also threw a brand new battery at it and beefed up the wire from the alternator to battery and added an extra earthing point from the battery
