Gearbox Grinding

guys my g/box has started to make hell weird griding noises when i start the car in the mornings. its only when the car is cold (1st start for the day) ..

will a good gbox oil change allieviate this?

People will say shockproof.

Mine made no difference as the gearbox was shagged. The thing around the shaft was TOTALLY warped and had strewn off. Had to get a new box.

When it happened I thought at the end of the day I may as well change oils first so I did, it didn't stop it but I think it made things easier for the box to live out it's retirement... till it died a couple of months later

i have the same problem once i read this thread i went and got my oil changed on the spot which was about 30 mins ago, changing gears has never been easier, i have to wait tom, morning about this grinding sht.

Get the right viscosity oil & you should be fine. Chances are what you have in the box is the wrong stuff....
