Hi guys,

i'm experiencing some clutch slips at about 6,000rpms. I'm able to smell it after i stop the car.

Does that mean that i have to change the clutch immediately or it'll be ok to hold up if i drive carefully (Eg, Revving below 5000rpm)?

Does driving with a clutch like this damage my other internal components?

Thanks

It should last for a while still depending on how you drive.

My clutch started slipping about 2 months ago and it still

grips fine for normal driving. My mate had his clutch start

slipping about 8 months ago and he just drives it normally

and the clutch is still working.

And yes if you rev the engine and the clutch is slipping you can smell the clutch burning

The flywheel, if you intend to use the same fly when you put a new clutch in machine the flywheel as long as its not worn a lot, it should be ok.
