joexiong
Hi, Can anyone please tell me the difference with diff ratios between a r32 gtst auto diff and the manual diff? I've just recently did a manual conversion with a rb25det gearbox on my r32. I also have a manual diff laying around so i was wondering which one is better to stick to? Thanks Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/118830-difference-between-an-auto-and-manual-diff/ Share on other sites
Guilt-Toy
Hi,Can anyone please tell me the difference with diff ratios between a r32 gtst auto diff and the manual diff? I've just recently did a manual conversion with a rb25det gearbox on my r32. I also have a manual diff laying around so i was wondering which one is better to stick to? Thanks Usually the auto is a shorter ratio. Put the manual in for better fuel economy and longer gears - or if you like it zippy and short keep the auto dif in. Pal
i got a conversion and left the auto diff in, getting around 450 to 500 a tank. thats around 11l/100k's. from what i remember the auto diff is around a 4.33 and a manual is 4.11. predator
auto is 4.3. now I've converted mine to manual, it pulls quite nicely using the shorter ratios, so i'd recomend leaving it. Mine sits at 3000rpm at 110km/hr, which is ok by me. dan cohen
Does anyone know how much effect is there on the speedo readings when you change diff ratios?
