guys

i have tried to access my throttle body for cleaning but no luck. I loosened the 2 clamps(as marked in blue in the pic) but after that, the whole thing was still as tight as ever. I figure i have to remove the 2 screws (marked in red) but i can't get the wrench in there cause there's no turning space!!

anyway, what's the right way of accessing the throttle body for cleaning and am I on the right track, guys?

help! >_<

Thanks!

robbie

sorry mate not sure if its the right way, i don't own an r33.

but like the others have said by now, def. look into investing into a good set of sockets if u plan on doing a fair amount of work on your car. Be careful if they're tight and using cheap sockets, once you start rounding those sorts of bolts, then it's a bitch to get off

good luck with it.

sweet . Has anyone done throttle body cleaning and has it been worth doing??

Hi - Yeah it's the right way, if you haven't done it before I suggest you take a photo of the engine bay before you start just so you know how everything goes back together. I did this.

Also whilst you are there you may as well check your spark plugs!!! Makes sens to me coz you are taking the cross pipe off! Would be a bitch if you had to do it a week later coz they are goonnnnnne.. but if you just recently changed them I wouldn't bother!

And yeah as the others said.. invest in a good socket set! I have a sidchrome set and I doubt I could live without it.

Ps Wasn't this your brothers car? Get the lazy bastard to do his own work!

Liz.
