Hi guys.

Well i willbe getting my car as soon as i get back form europe in 3 months, but am looking into getting things ordered before i go away so i don't have to wait when i get back.

My question is, for all those who have a PFC, do you use it as your main guage, ie use it to read boost pressure, knock, AFR, ect. or do you still have the guages to go with it. I want my car to look stock i don't particuraly like many guages, so hence why i am asking.

My other option is to not get the PFC and simply get a SAFCII and some basic guages and hide them away somehere.

Which way to go. How accurate is the PFC at boost pressure ext, do you require anyhtign extra to read boost with a PFC.

Thanks

I reckon a PFC would be fine for gauges. I just used it and the stock GTR ones and I was fine.

For boost on the PFC you will have to have the Apexi Boost Controller that plugs into it, otherwise the PFC has no idea what you're boosting at.

If you want a good guage display you can get a blitz R-VIT.

Will show basics- speed, water temp, rpm.. no boost unfortunatley, but will also show ignition timing, injector duty, 02 sensor, with peak levels and audible/visual warning limits, data recording and will decode any errors from the ecu to tell you what they are. Oh and its easy as to install- just plug it into your service/consult plug, no wiring necessary!!

But guessing you're after afr/boost readings, which this doesnt do (at least not on my car)

what do u want to acheive out of the car? an SAFC + gauges is not a substitute for a PFC + hand controller. Ok cost wise maybe they are equal but not in terms of tunability. look into what u want to acheive with ur car then decide which sort of engine management system is better for u.

Well i want to get and can easily achive 250rwKw.

So im going to get a PFC and basic guages. As far as i can see all i really need is an accurate Boost Gauge, and Oil pressur guage and that's about all.

Anything else i should have.
