Dear all,

Picture my rear lights looking like this:

OO OO

12 34

Half of the 2nd light (number 2) from the left is not lighting up.

Is it a simple bulb change? or is there something more to it?

If it is just the bulb, what kind of bulb should I be getting?

I would pull it out to check but I am not at home at the momment.

Thanks

Okay this problem happened to my r34 shortly after picking it up from the importer at exactly the same semi circle as yours nuffsaid.

Although it may look tricky to replace the bulbs you have to detach the whole tailight. You can do this by using a small wrench to loosen and remove 5 nuts that hold the tailight. You can see it after removing the carpet-like material the surrounds your boot. If they're a bit tight spray some wd-40. As for the bulb Im not sure what model it's but it is a universal model and can be bought at a service station.

Ongsta, perhaps it could be with the voltage/amp rating of the bulbs you used?

I was wondering if the tail lights in the R34 have to be rewired a bit when they are complied for australia. Cos i noticed when changing a bulb in mine that the wires had been cut and spliced in to other wires just using a bit of sticky tape to hold them. Has anyone else noticed this, or had it done?
