Hey, so Iv looked at the X-Force systems, how easy would it be to install a stainless steal exhaust myself at home?

Id like to do everything myself if i can. Has anybody installed one by themselves?

What sort of problems are usually encountered?

i did mine after doing some gearbox work. if you have any mechanical skills you will be fine. it is a case of undoing a few nuts, and unhooking some rubber mounts, then doing the reverse. all you need is some gasket sealant stuff. takes about 20 mins. just have to jack the car up as high as you can.

if you can take it off, it goes on exactly the same way back on!

just make sure you spray some WD-40 on the bolts and shit b4 you take them off, too much friction from rust = snapping bolts...

been there done that.. no fun

i think it has something to do with the thickness of the piping. s/steel is a bit stronger so the piping is a bit thinner so that changes how the sound resonates through the piping (think of it like a thick and thin string on a guitar)

but then again i'm talking out my @rse, so i might be way off track, but it does sound like that could be be part of the reason.
