seriosuly, booking out a cinema would be sooooo much better.

it'd be like a big lounge room of just us SAU people. comfy seats, snacks and bevergaes, big screen and the sound to go with it...

if you do it at a drive in, yeah you're with the club, but you're all in your own cars...so its kind of secluded in that way...

i rekon the cinema option would be better. that way when we all laugh at the really cheesy bits, and let's face it, there will be LOTS of cheesy bits (Maybe some more MOTEC exhausts etc etc etc :P:) ) you aren't laughing on your own.

and I ain't taking popcorn near my car

There was something advertised on the radio today that there will be a special screening of fast and furious 3 at coburg drive in. From what i caught they are making a big event out of it with car displays etc.

Is what you guys/girls are planning part of this?

Either way, put me down for a spot to coburg, i'd be up for meeting some new people.

we are not going to coburg with the drive in fell free to go but not under SAU just as your self but you had to have you photo in by today so have fun

yeah, normal or drive in would be good

not sure if it would be worth gold class depending on the length of the movie and how good we think it will be!

but i reckon a line of skylines at the drive in to see fast and furious would be gold!!!

(have done it for one and two but without the line of lines next to us!)

yep was thinking of that.. hmmm... Richmond burney would be alright cause parkin's free and it's fairly safe...

As an option did you want to join groups with us (GT Car Club) as we are organising one on the (Saturday) 17th June 2006 at Knox (I think it is VMax, still to be confirmed).

We have about 20 people so far but I can increase the numbers if need be.

Vic Organisers: If you're interested email me on [email protected]

nope but there was a competition for free tickets.. did you enter that?

hrrm frx026 I think you mean Karingal not coburg.. can't see anything about coburg..

"On the opening night of The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift on Thursday 15 June, there will be no hotter place than Village Cinemas Karingal. From 6pm to 9pm, on display in the car park outside the Cinema will be more than 20 fully blown Japanese Drift Cars. The bonnets will be up, doors will be open and the owners will be there to chat to. The Calder Park Legal Off Street Monaro will also be there with Calder Park Vouchers. See the movie and you'll have the chance to win a $500 Clarion Car Sound system thanks to Autobarn Frankston."

    • Hi All,  just thought I would provide an update as I know smooth (Matt) was on this forum from 2003.    my brother Matthew passed away end of may 2024 at the age of 41 from liver failure. I am not sure how many of his original team krazy friends are still on here or active but thought it reasonable to let the forum know.    if you have any photos or pictures it would be great if you could share them.    it took me a while to work out he was active on here.    thanks so much
    • 😜 hopefully we get this instead of a new R36 GTR due to recent financial problems at Nissan. Nismo to sell a complete kit with RB26 and driveline. All starts making sense (ok maybe not) once the Nissan Leaf's (Leaves?) with stuffed EV motors/batteries hit the market cheap
    • Hi guys , have had allot of time for SAU and has helped me out heaps in the past so I thought I would give it a go , I have my QM1 white NUR for sale 1 of 156 examples built by Nissan. Serious personal messages please if interested and details will be provided , asking 500k
    • Oof. Could be worse I guess. I suppose they haven't put any effort into ally suspension parts or CF panels, seats, etc. So they could probably pull about half of that back out of the car. Not like a bunch of other EVs that already have CF everything and roll the scales at ~2t.
    • Well, that would be easier to arrange. Simply downsize the battery pack to be just large enough to deliver the current requirement for the run. No need for a 500km range if you only have to be able to do 3/4 of a lap slowly and 1/4 of a lap at full (?)noise(?).
