RCEBNR
ok, my clutch master has been leaking slightly for the past 2 weeks, as i pulled into my driveway after work tonight i put the clutch in tomove back into first and there was a clunk and the pedal fell loosly to the floor and now i have no clutch... ive put a few pics of the area. not sure whats wrong, if anyone can give me some pointers before it goes to the mechanics tomoro... is it just a result of the master sh!tt!ng itself? RCEBNR
i should also add that the pedal has some horizontal movement now too, not just the normal "in and out" here are some pics Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/119327-lost-clutch-pedal/#findComment-2199061 Share on other sites
FOG35
The cluck noise you heard was the factory welds that hold you clutch pedal together. Below i have a pic which you can see the left bracket has come apart and this is why you have some left and right movement. You will have to take you the whole clutch pedal and assembly and have it rewelded (it is not very hard to remove). Same thing happened in my 32 two weeks ago. someonestolecc
If you happen to need a new master I have a brand new genuine Nissan one. Thought I needed it and didn't. PM me if you want it. mr_rbman
had the exact smae problem a while back, factory welds are pretty ordinary, just needs to be re-welded! Shouldn't cost too much at all but i don't think that has anything to do with your leaking master cylinder! RCEBNR
yes, just have had both happen at the same time. getting them both done then getting the new clutch isntalled in the next few weeks Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/119327-lost-clutch-pedal/#findComment-2209647 Share on other sites
mad082
sounds like it could also be a broken pivot bolt. easy way to tell is to jack up the car and get underneath. on the drivers side of the gearbox you will see where the clutch forks comes out. wiggle it, if it is super loose then its pivot bolt. that means gearbox out. RCEBNR
it was the welds.. have had them fixed, replaced the slave and the master too. all is good. it sucks not having a car.. on a side note my clutch kit arrived from the group buy so its going in next week.. yippee Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/119327-lost-clutch-pedal/#findComment-2214904 Share on other sites
