Big twins is proven for both drag and track I guess thats the appeal I always liked, Endless use that configuration for their track cars and as do a lot of companies use them for drag cars (and they run consistently good times) I suppose 2835's are probably more suited to track work though. Depends on how much your going to build the engine as well, I suppose. Turbo configuration will always depend on the engine its going onto.

yeah, ive got to investigate on the turbo side of thigns more, caus when i chose the turbos, i can then chose what type of headwork is going to be done. also the bottom end is fresh, and the oiling has been modified to suit, also the sump's been modified, so basically all that's left is the trubos and headwork

2.7, got lag? :ninja:

2.7 track car Endless style with no budget, Id say it wasnt exceptionally laggy otherwise it would have been useless around a circuit. I did have a dyno on it but I lost it ages ago....im just looking through random old pics being teased by the power that is oh so far away from what I have atm.

jason im sure many are aware of your gripe with mercury, and yes i can sympathise with you, i have had minor problems with them in the past, and yes, this time i didn't get the perfect treatment or results i wanted either, but overall im satisfied with the work they have done.

but i dont think they exceeded their quote by an unreasonable amount and all the extra work they rang me about bar the gfb valve as i just said before.

I'm happy with how the car is going this far, and although its easy to say the tune 'could be better' but it could also be worse too. And i was very specific in my instructions to go for a very conservative reliable tune so that should be kept in mind.

anyway, i'm going to bed, have to be up at 4:30 for work in the morning.

I'm going to stop bleating on about Mercury, if people want to go there, and use them, then go for it. Make up your own mind about them, they might have picked their game up a bit and might be all right now... who knows....

i certainly won't, as i won't be going back to them ever again...

g'nite all

havnt decided yet...i know i want 7-800hp, but not sure if i want big sinlge or twins & if i want it for track or drag. i've got a set of brand spankin R34 N1's ready to go on, so that'll give it a bit of a boot to help me decide

i can second that :)

I think something simliar went on that crazy one that JHH did a while ago. Id think the only reason you would change the turbos is just to bring it on boost later if you start getting neck pains :ninja:

ive heard snippets about that car dave, and from what ive heard its a monster! id ask john, but he doesnt like to give advice on turbo's and that, which is a pain :ninja:

and good morning everyone :ninja:
