i would go ply wood personally. i used to use a lot of it for modelling purposes when i was younger. cheap, fairly strong and not too heavy. eithere that or mdf. check prices really, both should do fine for what you need

i'd go with ya this wk as there is barely anyone here in the office to provide any work for.

but, unfortantly all my $$'s is being invested into my new railway system im building at home :)

yes but in event of water the wood won't swell (ie when you build your mountains etc).

yes, i could just make a small pond out of plastic from a mold and do this.

but then that would involve filling it up every now and then from the water evaporating.

that i would think would be against water restrictions.
