just busy replacing the water pump on my RB20DET and I was wondering if anyone knows which way the main pulley nut is undone? Is it just like a normal nut (ie anti-clockwise to undo) or is it opposite?

Okay, prehaps i should rephase my question...

ATM I change gears at about 7000 RPM if im driving spirited, is this too high for a RB26?

It doesnt redline till 7.5. If I keep reving the car out this high will I do dammage or can the RB26 take thoes sorts of RPM comfortably?

man it has a rev limiter doesnt it? that is what its there for to bounce off when racing, if u arent quick enough to change gears before the limit, then it will hit it. but mean if u were on a race track for an hour and flogging your car on the limiter then u mite do some damage, but other wise every now and then i doubt it.
