You can easily spend 3500+ to get a really good one but next month it will be outdated

This is true but I have found $2000 to be a good amount to spend for some gaming grunt that will last 2-3 years and play all now games. My last $1000 computer struggled after 12-18 months to play new games on max settings.

Then you have basement nerds that all there system is like 1000 and could out performs its by leaps and bounds

You mean people with days and days of time to spend clocking every component.

Not the systems I build, My job used to be the design and supply of systems to Chrome studio's and Creative Assembly before I took the job I have now. I still build a few rigs for the lads that work there every couple of years.

For starters it doesn't give any specs about the motherboard.

Mike did you even read the link????

Motherboard ASUS Socket 1150 Motherboard with Intel Chipset

ASUS motherboards guard your PC with 5X Protection. We use quality components like DIGI+ VRM digital power design for precise CPU power on demand, ESD units tested to strict standards that eliminate electrostatic interference, and resettable fuses around DRAM slots to prevent overcurrent and short-circuit damage. We also use corrosion-resistant back I/O shields, all examples of ASUS providing the best possible reliability and durability.

I did Ants, there are about 15 ASUS 1150 socket boards so which one is it?

EDIT: Just checked ASUS' webpage, they have 28 Socket 1150 boards available.

What games do you wanna play and what type of movie? If you want tht and only occasionally gaming 1000 will be enough

I dont have time to play 24/7. But I have a few games I want to play and my current POS PC is certainly not up to it.

Games - have a file size of 1.5gb

Movies - I obtain via the internet - file size anything between 2.5gb and 12gb (depending on availability and quality)

Playing movies required very little power just a lot of storage. Storage is very cheap again so it's not a worry.
