what tupe of off roading are you/is she doing to necessitate low range?

She probably wont need it often, but if I am changing car I figure I might as well have it for camping if we decide we want to go further off the beaten track. Would also be handy for getting to my sisters farm, with out it the trip takes and hour and 40 minutes longer because you have to go the long way around :S

nope v6 economy and rego, and no electronic locker, would get stuck with 2 wheels off the ground all the time

i dunno if you would get 200mm of clearance or more. thats the requirement to get over the track to my sisters

but, the evo makes up for it in speed, so that road would take half the time as it does now.

with everything other than the Forry and the Suzuki you have a shitty magnetic clutch to engage the 4x4. It overheats and you are left with 2wd.

Can't think of anything better than the forester. FJ Cruisers are awesome but 6 again.
