So I have done some research...I am going to grab some pressure pack plasti-dip for the missus's rims. If this goes well I may attempt to do my car in a Matte Black (with a proper spray gun)

Apparently it does a decent job with multiple coats. No idea how it would handle being washed however...

They say a normal wash (no pressure cleaner hand wash) is the best way to wash it with no problems and it should last a while.

The guys in the states rave about it. Not sold though.
