*Raises empty coffee mug* Mr Nick,

Am I the only one that is annoyed beyond belief with the QPS and their bullshit revenue grabbing?

I am half tempted to go gas up the car pull the plates and stickers and go raise some good old fashioned hell, Just so they remember what it means to enforce the law not perform acts of highway robbery.

Unfortunately we are fighting a losing battle.. It will take radical change for genuine car enthusiast to be separated from the hoons. Unfortunately i think the rules are going to get a lot stricter yet.

Its more the mentality of ppl in general we are all too quick to label a group by the actions of a few, whether it be their interests, race, economic stance or otherwise.

Not so much. There's actually a lot more at play here. These guys have created a political party purely for car enthusiasts. If you look at the backgrounds of certain parties involved, you will soon see that they really aren't role models - from what I can see and have been told.

The cops are simply getting their own back. You poke the bear...

Mate, the majority of our members seem to fly under the radar.

This is the same for every minority group - although we're getting off a little easier.

Think about the homosexuals, the african americans, they all went through the same struggle but the ones that were out loud and proud got hurt. The ones that fly under the radar, not so much. Don't drive like a nut and avoid places where you know that this will occur. Simples. :D

^ This, nothing truer. In the 5+ years ive owned my R33 I've never been unfairly targeted due to the car i drive. I have been done speeding here and there and whilst pulled over they give the car a run through, however if i wasnt speeding they wouldn't have had a reason to check it over.

I was target as all shit, hell I still am.

Back on the p plates it was a fortnightly ritual to get pulled over by constable smart and constable kowoltzki... And they say they don't target people

I Suppose Bribie Island & Caboolture is pretty laid back i think

I rarely get pulled over, but i also never go lapping in the city on Thursday night, and go to massive car meets only rarely. The times i have been pulled over are in the wee hours of the morning when i was pretty much the only person on the road. Anna used to get pulled over a lot in the Sil80 but it looked like a drifter and the cops really hate them.

My concern is that a lot of people that have joined the AMEP are people who ARE hoons and DO drive defective heaps of shit and are trying to legitimise their behavior.

Ant's you should grab the free version of 3d mark (I think it is called futuremark nowdays) and run some benchmarks on that PC.

ok will do. I hooked up gaming computer to Sony LCD tv yesterda - 1080p graphics FTW!

Like Nick?

My car is engineered for the mods done, and I'd get the same defects on my car as you and most of us would.

Also any "hoon" behaviour I have done has been way way out of civilisation, and before we go pointing fingers don't forget your "mountain runs" McFly.

On the topic of mod plates, they don't always save you either, a friend of mine had his mods plated and the cop said 'how do I know you have not changed things since it was plated' and still handed him the defect notice. If he didn't want to pay the fine he had to take it to court. Hoon laws are pretty much the only laws where you are presumed guilty until proven innocent and it is bullshit.
