Drama…

Walking away from my legal case, new lawyer, then go back to court.

Who wants to be my taxi bitch, how good would that be

sooo what happend, they adjourned the case till a later date (how'd you manage ths)? Whats the go with your license?

details b!tch

Long story, bad information, plus mass money – un-happy josh

Easier to walk, then take the risk, and go back to court with a new solicitor later on, the employee (my normal solicitors paralegal type person kinda) who gave the miss guided information is now fired, and I can only hope they no longer practise law.

Never the less, due to the odd situation this is, and not going to lose I’ll just pull out from court haha

Ironic, the system that I bent and used to f**k the Police over, has now in a way come back and bent me over.

Karma..

The law firm is now legally accountable, however why try a sue a law firm, it's so pointless and not many other firms would take on such a case, the one’s that do are talking $15k+ to get into supreme courts, as it’ll only last 5 minutes in the magistrates courts.

I swear these guys see me coming or something....

It’s a lot more in depth then that, an employee did the royal f**k around, and I was burnt.

Its a novel, plus I’m not going into all the detail on here. I’ve already seek’d other advice; I don’t have surplus cash to prove a point right now

long story short, you got done up the ass....whats the outcome though??

Out come is, I just walk as I have too much pride to lose against the police. Deal with the outcome of me walking, go to a new firm, then re apply to overrule the suspension, which you can do, just wether it’s viable is the thing, as 99% of the time it’s not ruled in your favour.

The fact I have lost so much money is annoying, however you know as well as I do, suing the current firm isn’t the easiest thing to do, so that I can move on from, or have to anyway.

The Police can only ban me from driving in Queensland, it’s up to the individual states wether they hold the ban there, this is wether the national data base is even updated, which normally it isn’t. Vic roads told me, on the phone they don’t check that often as their computers aren't linked, so nothing would come up flashing if I applied for VIC license... Just depends if you get a supervisor as to wether you get pwned or not.

Worst case is, I just get my Californian license and come back to Australia and drive as per normal, only the local Police will no what the suss deal is, thus don’t drive close to home I guess.

Sure does, I've known the peole I work for, for years however not having a license will cost me a job too, as you can't sell property when you can't even drive!

Is this all to do with the gestapo unit that f**ked you over at the service station?

Hmm what time was that?

This is a sperate case that’s being going on for 14+months, trying not to have me banned from driving.

The second part of the above, was suing, but for that to happen, I need to do the current case, which I’m just going to walk from.

In short, the last 4 and a bit years is starting to bite me hard in the ass i guess

My bad. I thought it was you that got canned by the cop after asking him about the new p plate laws at the servo.

Senior moment I guess.

Still waiting on that kid!!! Can't get in contact with him, *suss*, at the time though, I wasn't able to cop it on the chin, as i valued my job at Century 21, so needed to go through what I have, so still could drive way back then.

    • @Kinkstaah yeah I initially checked with Chequered as I've used them with a previous car. But they have stopped sourcing and installing Nistune chips. They only do tuning now. I did not want to pull out my ECU and send it away somewhere to have the chip installed. That would mean no driving the Skyline
    • Should have checked that.  On the plus side, I got my Bluetooth adaptor.
    • Each province differs a bit but we only do mandatory vehicle inspections here for heavy vehicles (Think Ford F350 and up). Those inspections are done by mechanics that are approved by the government. Besides that, it's a free for all as long as the car looks stock.  I asked because I love seeing how engineering differs from country to country. Here in Canada, all designs must be stamped and signed before they can be brought to fruition. (I.E Bridges, structures, Electrical panels, machines, literally everything shy of a wooden table) This can only be done by a professional engineer or professional engineering technologist. Both are protected titles, but the latter having more of a limited scope in what they can stamp. To become a professional engineer, you must complete a 4-5 year bachelors degree in your field of engineering, be part of an engineering order and undergo 4 years of apprenticeship, testing and mandatory continues education. Same story for engineering technologists, but a 3 year associates degree in some form of engineering technology will suffice. If you do not comply, or pretend you're an engineer or technologist, off to jail you go. If you stamp a design that fails, off to jail you go. If you stamp a design that fails and kills someone (I.E Bridge collapse) Off to jail you go for a very long time, your family will be ridiculed on the news, neighbours will surround your home with pitch forks and your dog will disown you.  Same for specialised trades... Example Electricians must undergo 1.5 years of post high school education, 4 years of apprenticeship, testing and hold proper licences. It's for the best, but then we also wonder why we're so short on engineers and tradesmen haha. We also have professional engineers who were only school smart but have no idea how a drill works. They generally go straight into management roles out of school which is also for the best.
    • Not currently, I'm at the school where we teach people to build bridges and other fun things that involve making, or breaking things
    • I have a friend who has used Chequered Tuning and CMS. Went to CMS when Chequered had a long wait time which is kind of the norm (for good reason). Was very happy - I'm pretty sure the very simple thing you're asking will be simple.
