price..?

ok quick question i have not paid attention really when i changed pads but do S14/15 4pot pads interchange with skyline ones.. they are 296rotors same as GTST. so it should correct.?

No idea on price.

I guess the pads should be the same as r32 gtst/s14 and s15 ones.

top 5 bud

yeah should be what is the rotor size on the R33 and R34 GTST GTT

296mm x 30mm for R33 or so google said.

Im pretty sure my mates R34 brakes that are on his R32 are bigger then 296.. so i cant really tell ya to be honest

yeah think so too.. will get measuring tape out soon.

reason asking going to be using R34 rotor and discs upfront and std rears but switching pads for some endless i think or another jap brand and want to match the front and rear.

now if the pads are the same between S14/15 and R34 GTT then ill buy a S14/15 front and rear pad as the rears are the same between silvias.

ya feeling me

MU or Endless

whats ur experiences with them.?

thinking the MU heard good things.

but endless Y and S sports prob go Y as the range is 0-380 and the S is 0-500 so be more suitable for street/drift/track. and i dnt think ill be getting the std rotors pass 400degrees. esspecially with less weight to cart around.

I normally just use Bendex or Ferodo as pads don’t last me very long at the best of times and I cant be assed waiting for an order to come.

My last set of Ferodo’s crapped out after a half a dozen 260kph runs though with heavy braking haha.

Never personal driven on Mu or Endless. I hear good about both. Something Im looking into more as I have to do pads on the Porsche in the next few weeks

Y, you will not be seeing more the 400degree's unless you are doing some serious racing work

yep i said ill prob go Y sports.. well bendix from memory cost 60-100 for a set. and not a big fan the advance is ok but not really performance oriented i have more faith in a GT series sponsor i guess.. so seems to be endless sport Y front and rear

260runs eh.. wher wer u to do that...? bruce highway joshwa?

Yeh they are budget as, but refer to me going through brakes quick anyway.

Yeh you can do 260kph on the bruce highway in a few spots, more in the right car. If your up to the risk the m1 is much better at those speeds  I was in the Lexus, it saw the bottom of the speedo too many times to count

boy racer..?? soo game to do that shit in that lexus lol.. how is that car holding up daddy still got it.?

high speeds dont do it for me anymore.. the GTR was fine for that.. straight line Gs u feel at 5k grip launches. meh over it now..

get a similar feeling with the right footwork in the 180sx.

and the sideways feeling isnt such a rush anymore.. quite lame.. well not top of 2nd no more think i need some QR action and grab 3rd. that or i think i might go flying again.. pitty im not dating a girl whos daddy is a pilot anymore.. hmm they wer the days.. rich gf's family with ther own SPITFIRE plane.. its still being built.. think i might pop round to ther house and holla.

Why is it game? It's built as a highway cruiser. Better build quailty then some mercs and BMW's that do that on the autobahn. That car owed me in farken repairs alone $13k which I have receipts for, nothing wrong with it now. I just wanted to paint it undercoat and pull the trim out. It's been painted though and looks normal not boro spec.

I never gave the Lexus to dad, I sold my BMW and gave him the money from that. I sold the Lexus to a friend of mine, Bullet on the Goldy is doing a super charger for it.

Racing logic, d2's, HSD's, g4's, and about half a dozen more brands you see getting around (more so on American forums) are all made in China, in not most in teh same factory. They are rubbish. They under under valved for the spring rates.

EG: the valving in my coilovers with 20kg springs are the same valving used for Civic coilovers using 5kg springs. They are cheap for a reason.

HSD's = poo.

noel had to go down to 6kg front & 4 kg rear jsut to get the thing to stop bouncing!

however to this day he still thinks the valving isnt the problem

    • The engine stuff is Greg Autism to the Max. I contacted Tony Mamo previously from AFR who went off to make his own company to further refine AFR heads. He is a wizard in US LS world. Pretty much the best person on earth who will sell you things he's done weird wizard magic to. The cam spec is not too different. I have a 232/234 .600/603 lift, 114LSA cam currently. The new one is 227/233 .638 .634. The 1.8 ratio roller rockers will effectively push this cam into the ~.670 range. These also get Mamo'ified to be drilled out and tapped to use a 10mm bolt over an 8mm for better stability. This is what lead to the cam being specced. The plan is to run it to 6800. (6600 currently). The Johnson lifters are to maintain proper lift at heavy use which is something the LS7's supposedly fail at and lose a bit of pressure, robbing you of lift at higher RPM. Hollow stem valves for better, well everything, Valve train control. I dunno. Hollow is better. The valves are also not on a standard valve angle. Compression ratio is going from 10.6 to 11.3. The cam is smaller, but also not really... The cam was specced when I generated a chart where I counted the frames of a lap video I had and noted how much of the time in % I spent at what RPM while on track at Sandown. The current cam/heads are a bit mismatched, the standard LS1 heads are the restriction to power, which is why everyone CNC's them to get a pretty solid improvement. Most of the difference between LS1->LS2->LS3 is really just better stock heads. The current cam is falling over about 600rpm earlier than it 'should' given the rest of my current setup. CNC'ing heads closes the gap with regards to heads. Aftermarket heads eliminate the gap and go further. The MMS heads go even further than that, and the heads I have in the box could quite easily be bolted to a 7.0 427ci or 454 and not be any restriction at all. Tony Mamo previously worked with AFR, designed new heads from scratch then eventually founded his own business. There he takes the AFR items and performs further wizardry, CNC'ing them and then manually porting the result. He also ports the FAST102 composite manifold: Before and after There's also an improved racing crank scraper and windage tray. Helps to keep oil in the pan. Supposedly gains 2% power. Tony also ports Melling oil pumps, so you get more oil pressure down low at idle, and the same as what you want up top thanks to a suitable relief spring. There's also the timing chain kit with a Torrington bearing to make sure the cam doesn't have any thrust. Yes I'll post a before and after when it all eventually goes together. It'll probably make 2kw more than a setup that would be $15,000 cheaper :p
    • Because the cars wheels are on blocks, you slide under the car.   Pretty much all the bolts you touched should have been put in, but not fully torque up.   Back them off a turn or two, and then tighten them up from under the car with the wheels sitting on the blocks holding car up in the air.
    • Yes. Imagine you have the car on the ground, and you mine away all the ground under and around it, except for the area directly under each individual wheel. That's exactly how it'd look, except the ground will be what ever you make the bit under each wheel from
    • Yes, if you set the "height" right so that it's basically where it would be when sitting on the wheel. It's actually exactly how I tighten bolts that need to be done that way. However....urethane bushes do NOT need to be done that way. The bush slides on both the inner and outer. It's only rubber bushes that are bonded to the outer that need to be clamped to the crush tube in the "home" position. And my car is so full of sphericals now that I have very few that I need to do properly and I sometimes forget and have to go back and fix it afterwards!
