Series 2 Auto Instrument Cluster

I bought this cluster to try and fit it to my series 1, but have since sold the car and have a series 2 instead now

From what I can tell, the wiring is different between the series 1 and 2 for the auto gear selector

So it would take a bit of playing around to get it to work on a series 1

I have attached photo's below of the series 2 cluster and series 1 for comparsion

You will have to make your mind if this is possible

Otherwise if your series 2 cluster is not working, you can buy this one

Km reading 97,032 km

It cost me approx $250 to get it from Japan

How could you tell it was different? the plug sockets look exactly the same from the pics.

No it would not

If you were not going to use the auto selector, then is looks like it would be a straight swap.
