Rejoining Shielded Wiring On Abs Sensor Wires

is it possible to extend the shielded wiring by soldering on a longer length?? (such as abs sensor wires, etc)??? since i run my wiring under the guard now the abs plug is too short so i want to cut it and add a section and rejoin it, is this gonna work???

can u buy the shielded wiring from anywhere???

Yes you can, the shield is just metal braid which can be soldered. Simply stripping back and twisting together the halves plus solder will give sufficient electrical conductivity. The same with the core, but must be kept electrically isolated from the shield. Of course make sure the joiint is protected by tape or shring wrap, etc.

I don't know of anywhere that sells this type of thing, but the AFM signal wire on most Nissan's is shielded, so just cut out a length from a wreck.
