GDay,

This may be a stupid question, but can you buy a replacement cam belt tensioner stud from Nissan? I rang them today and they said 'dont be stupid' but i think the bloke i was talking to was a tosser. Or should i just be looking at getting a high tensile stud from a bolt place. Im not sure if this will work though, as i havent taken it off yet.

Thanks for any info,

Shaun.

you can buy them, nissan just like to add about 500% mark up on nuts and bolts.

If it's just for the 100k service it isn't really neccesary to change it. But it's good to see you are being thorough.

If it's out of a front cut that has taken a fair knock to the front end then i'd say it's a good idea, particularly if you already have the covers off

Yeah thanks, i thought you'd be able to get them from Nissan. I just thought i'd do it while the engine is out.
