What Run In Procedure?

Guys,

Just about to install my new running gear and was wonderinf the following

What oil to use for run-in?

What are the oil change intervals?

Can i use the standard ecu for run-in even though the turbos/cams are different?

How many k's should i run it in for?

What compression should the engine read once the rings have bedded in?

1: Use the Valvoline running in oil.

2: I ran mine for a long time on running in oil (no boost) but not sure if your supposed to do that - mine ran for about 3000ks of labour driving

3: Yes - are the injectors standard though ?

4: 1500km should be fine.

ohh and 5: i could be wrong

If this is the engine you have for sale then would put the motor in and let some one the CRD do the rest.but

1. frist time start up let car i run for 5-10mins change oil filter, then run in for 1000km do a leak down test if all good. Run what ever oil your going to run for the rest of its life Castrol 10-60.

3. depends on mods

4. 1000kms if leak down is good

5. i think leak down sould be 2-3% or as low as posible

6. most likey wrong lol
