that story is really sad :) i HATE street racing and its effects...

now... to those of you who just think i'm a spoilt little brat and got my car for free, a "daddys boy" as you would call it... stop thinking it! its not bloody true! i never said i dont have to pay for it! im paying it off - yes a loan! so i would like it from now on if i was treated like anyone else on these forums with a loan on there car cos thats what i am!!!

It's an N/A for gods sake... its not exactly a fast car! The chances of me street racing are about the same as it would be for you guys street racing! (hopefully none) i might be young but i know its stupid and VERY dangerous... i have that much common sense

i always tell all my street racing freinds that they are dickheads because its unsafe... do they listen? NO... so its there bad luck!

FARKING HELL THAT SHITS ME!

Some of you people are so mean to me and have no respect becuase im "young" and "spoilt" but seriously... grow up!

/end rant

PS: sorry if i sounded angry but im just sick of being labeled spoilt

spoken like a true dic...err...streetracer :uh-huh:

Wow I think that people might have nose out of joint.

A silly thing caused a tragedy and insurance premiums to go up. My feelings go to his family and friends and I also hope that people take racing to a track... like Duncan said... $200 is a small price to pay in comparison to death.

    • Last year I got a set of MCA street coilovers for my turbo Forester after my son hitting a concrete gutter/wall on a small bridge causing the whole drivers side suspension to get bent because the rain just made the car slide out I love them, I think they were $2400. even had a hiccup of have the wrong hub configuration (my fault) so got onto MCA and they sent the correct shock ends overnight parts from QLD, for free!  I was very impressed with their customer service and quality of the product
    • They've had some weird failures on their brake actuators. One of them was because they added some kind of lubricant to the factory fill brake fluid that aftermarket brake fluid didn't have so it would affect the seals. Another was just mysterious, probably internal corrosion or something eating away at Prius brake actuators. Parts alone for those are a few thousand USD so not a cheap fix.

    • KYBs are typically twin tube, putting them in the lower tier of desireability. Do you just want to replace worn out ones for the lowest cost? I mean, you wouldn't just replace one end of a car, if the rears are a similar age to the fronts, then they are probably nowhere near what they should be, and likely won't be great against brand new fronts. So, to spend ~$800 on 2nd tier dampers, when you could get a decent set of MCA coilovers for <$4k.....? As to the strut tops. 1st up, the Sparesbox site specifically tells you that they are not correct for an R33. Beyond that, why do you think you need them?
