Howdy all

I have an '95 r33 with a standard turbo running 12psi

Recently i have noticed when putting my foot down on the loud pedal a squealing sound that has never been there before.

I assume its from the turbo as i only hear it once it boosting

Any ideas? is it time for an up grade? and if so are high flowed turbos any good or a waste of money?

Cheers

any that come off the intake (intercooler piping, throttle body and plenum). just look for little splits where they mount on.

also could be a gasket is stuffed, or something has come loose, like the manifold, turbo, dump pipe, etc.

i had these problem on my 32 gtst when I set the boost at 14.75psi.. I thought: thats not cool.. it's proabbly wayyy to high for a 32 turbo, so I'm never doing that again...

and I never did

and the turbo lived happily ever after....... to the present anyway

yeah, I would say turbo to manifold gasket has shat itself, mine did the same... bit of a te te ticking type sound as it spooled and then turbo rhaeeeerrreeeeeee'd on boost... when I pulled it off, I was missing about 2cm off the bottom of the turbo to manifold gasket!

am interested in the outcome though, do update when you find it!
