Hi Noel, after owning 2 R31's one being a s2 SVD GTS manual, my first import was an R33 S2 GTS-25T Nismo enhanced sedan. Had 70,000k's fog lights sunroof 18" wheels and was in mint condition until some ahole pulled out in front of me and the car was written off. Paid $19,000 for the car in jan 05, this is the only photo i have of her as the accident happened only a few weeks after i brought it. I replaced it with an R33 s2 GTS-25t manual coupe with similar setup. Although the manual was a better car to drive, everything else was pretty much the same, the 4 door was more unique though as there are less around. I have since sold this and brought an R34 GT-x non turbo auto sedan, although i miss the manual turbo my new car came with extras like Zenon headlights, auto start, tiptronic on the steering wheel, TV, GPS ect which sought of makes up for it.

The only problem is that i can't stop thinking about the one i lost. The moral is, look after your unique import (2 or 4 door) because you don't know what you've got till it's gone.

G'day Noel,

Well, I was one of the supposed few that actually prefered the 4 door once I started looking, irrespective of the cost difference.

I wanted a fun, practical, car that went like the clappers but also had the unique ability to blend into the crowd when you needed it to. I was all too aware of the reputation Skylines had and the attention they drew (both good and bad). Being too old to give a rats arse about being the centre of attention anymore, I went for something that can mix it with the best of them without attracting any interest from the police.

One gripe I have is that the seats are not as nice as what they have in the coupes, but aside from that I personally reckon that they look tuff from virtually every angle.

Granted, they are pretty plain with standard wheels and no kit, but then again, have a good look at a bog stock coupe at standard ride height and they're not much of a turn-on either. My Series 1 came with some weird ass side skirts, subtle rear wing, tastefully lowered (not slammed) on a set of Tein coilovers and runs on some dished 18" Zepters. This completely transforms the look when compare to a bog stock sedan, without making it stick out like an FA-18 jet fighter. :D

As for the tail lights, I don't know what the other bloke was thinking.......the true essence of Skyline heritage definitely lives and breathes in the four door too. They are as recognisable from the rear as any Skyline coupe, particularly at night.

Don't bother asking everyoneon the forums about what's "best" because they're ALL fantastic, just keep your eyes and your options open. Look around and you'll come across something that will steal your heart and believe me mate, by that time it won't matter how many doors it has!!

Cheers and good luck

I have SII R33 GTS25t Sedan in manual form bought from these guys http://www.autoworx.com.au . The SII R33 sedan has different tail lights to the series 1, they sort of stick out a bit.

Stock there is not much difference to the coupes, from my experience. With some dark tint, nice wheels and lowered they look very subtle but with that understated tough look, even without the factory optional bodykit.

Everything but the exhaust/side skirts/rear bar/spoilers is pretty much a bolt on affair between couple and sedan.

Plus its a fairly rare car, i chose it after going to car yards and seeing coupes everywhere, insurance was cheaper when i checked 2 years ago. Plus the interior was the best of any car i looked at.

cheers
