what about the Autocross track at Ipswich, right next door to QR? its a smooth dirt racetrack, which is great fun and great for learning car control - although skidpan/LVMA days at Mt Cotton driver training centre would be easier on the paintwork...

They have been doing track days there recently. They are seriously going to let it be used again I think. No real racing, just for street cars doing track days and training.

total driver have done training days there recently but speeds are very limited, and it definitely isn't a track day format, just driver training. at this stage anyway. we'll have to wait and see what happens with the tender process PRSC is running.

My understanding is driver training, track days, bike days etc. Just road vehicles and limited hours for noise rules.

do they put oily water down or sumthing or is that all dirt is it??? looks pretty harsh on the paint work, i can imagine the time id have trying to get my white 33 clean after one of those.lol

I think alot of places put diesel down with the water. Not only does it incur random arse end movements when you thought you had it under control, its also super friendly for your paint. NOT. They do it to keep speeds down to a super friendly toddler pace.
