Guys n Girls..

i'm looking to get an r33 either series 1 or 2 to buy in the next month or so... so id like to get an idea who has either of these models for sale in Melbourne currently.

my budget is between 18k - 27-28k obviously depending on series and mods that are on the car. I'm looking for an example with extremly good paint and reliable drivetrain with k's under 90k... mods dont mean that much to me as i'll prob chop n change whats on there already as every1's taste is different :D

Would appreciate pics and specs of any 33's for sale in melb to this thread.

is ure exhast turbo or catback? what size is it? if turbo back what kind of dump pipe do u have?

who remapped ure ECU and what did it modify from the stock computer.. n how much boost were u running to get 173kw at the wheels :P

exhaust is 3.5inch Tanabe LIMIT cat back. Currently no dump/front pipe but shopping for one (even tho im selling :P)

ECU was remapped by Selection tuning in Japan. It has a unique ID number so if you had the contacts, you could find out exactly what has been done. As far as I know it changes fueling, ignition etc.

Running 10pound for 173rwkw. Boost is 7pound from 3000-5000rpm and 10psi from 5000-7000rpm. I think this may be in the ECU too as there isnt any boost controllor elsewhere. I also change the oil, fuel filter, cleaned and gapped plugs last week, so hopefully it would squeeze out a few extra kw@the wheels now.

    • Thanks mate 👍 The car was brought into the UK by a USAF mechanic until he was stationed back to the US, one owner later I bought her back in 2009. Luckily the only corrosion was on the sill seams, so once taken back to metal and treated and sealed all ok, I then undersealed the car myself and check yearly and treat any corrosion which to be honest is zero. She's garaged most of the time and hardly ever driven in the rain, but as you say most are rotten unfortunately, I was lucky in finding her as she was and still is in excellent condition.  
    • Stunning car.  Looks amazing!  You're in the UK?  How the hell do you stop your car rotting away beneath you?  British cars are the WORST I've ever seen in regards to rust.  Some of the cars SR Autobody have done are borderbeyond saving.

    • I have up to date pics of the engine build and turbo conversion over on my instagram @skpro_jects if you want to take a deeper look.   Basically the exhaust manifold is straight bolt on and the ports match (they arent any smaller than a 25 or 26 head).    the intake ports are different shape so the 20/25det manifold will bolt up but wont match properly or seal. You will need to port match using the 25det gasket as a stencil. Personally i ran the entire stock 20neo intake setup and have configured the swirl valves and torque valve to work based on my custom parameters to help with off boost response and spool. But this is using a standalone aem v2 ecu. The stock 20det ecu wont be able to control them.     
    • Hi. a little later but if the topic is here. So...the exhaust is the same and you can use 25/Turbo or any aftermarket? What about intake side? Is it too "plug n play" or? (i do not remember for 100% but i think that one intake to head gasket was little bit different than on the RB25 - i bought gasket kit way back) I know that even if it "plug" those butterfly swirls would cause ECU to be confused or?   Just asking for the info 🙂 and of course the RB25 things are easier to come by
