While browsing the net for information about skylines and so forth i came across this design of intercooler piping which looked ideal.

A few questions regarding this however.

The piping blocks off the oil breather from the intake manifold and also the middle breathers. I think the middle breathers would be fine as i think i would be able to fit rubber hosing under the middle one (barely) however im worried about the affects of blocking the one from the intake manifold.

There is also a pipe that comes into the back of the intercooler piping, what is this for?

Any comments re this would be great as i think this could be a great way to cut out probably near on a meter of intercooler piping.

* Thanks to whoever initially posted this pic

It's more common than you think! I think the Gibson motorsport cars had it and thats how I'm going to do mine!

I've been told that it cuts out up to 5L of intake air which should have a fairly significant drop in lag.

There is nothing wrong with the way you have it as long as the shorter pipe is the pipe exiting the cooler to the throttle body. I would leave it rather than going to this setup.

excellent im doing mine next weekend and after a few ideas currently have piping running behind the fmic to the standard pipe spots. but i like this idea better where did you guys plumb the bov in.
does anyone have any further pictures of the top of the rocker cover and also looking down on the radiator to see where the piping goes

The pipework goes though the inner guard in the basically the same position as the standard GTR pipework

:) cheers :P

i would rather go from the turbo around the front of the engine then into the cooler that way you only have 1x90 AND 2X45 bends going out the other side up and straight across the engine straight into the throttle body.

I have an R32 GTS-T and have fitted up an R33 GTR cooler and this is exactly what I want to have on my car! Do you think it would be better to "cut and weld" up the pipe wok myself or get someone to mendral bend some pipes up?

That group buy link would be handy SK! can't find it
