Correct me if i'm wrong guys, but i've heard that the NSW law of P platers not allowed to drive high powered cars will be brought into VIC sometime in the middle of this month?? Can someone confirm that please?

I think i read that somewhere, but they'd probably rework it first, that loophole where hi-power NA's are allowed wouldn't stay for long. But i think there is one out if they do bring it in - when they brought it to NSW i'm pretty sure, if you got your p's, or already owned an outlawed car before the ban was put into place, you could still drive it. (NSW dudes, feel free to correct me)

I think alot of it comes down to your driving style also. If you drive like a tool your attracting attention to yourself. The only times I have ever been pulled over have been because I am doing something wrong (and I do spend ALOT of time on the road) not because of the car I am driving. I haven't been pulled over for upwards of a year now in any of my cars.

Just my 2 cents :ermm:

I dont agree with u here. i drive a stock 93 v6 commodore im on p plates for just over 2 years now, the only fines i have are for parking illigally have not lost a single point on my licence but have been pulled over more than 30 times for 'random licence checks', one time i got pulled over twice in a span of 3 hours on the same road by different police. all because of a stupid red p on the back window, what the f**k is the deal with people knowing your a p plater anyway makes no difference to me

Maybe I just been lucky, fingers crossed it stays that way

what the f**k is the deal with people knowing your a p plater anyway makes no difference to me

Isn't it supposed to be so people can "watch out for you" because you haven't had much driving experience, kinda like a learner on L's only more advanced

Why would the Vic police bring in the NSW p plate law when we have one ourselves that in my opinion works better than a blanket ban?

I'm with you on that one rhett, it's really a poorly thought out ban. I mean what the hell is with banning turbodiesels just because of the 'turbo' prefix....
