I have an R33 GTS-T series 2 which currently has a HKS pod filter. I want to get rid of the pod and put in a factory airbox with high-flow filter and cold air intake.

Is there any CAI kits available for the R33? Does anyone know who sells them?

Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

Easiest way (if you have a FMIC that uses the 'over the top' piping route):

Cut a 80mm hole in the airbox near the bottom.

Get piping that extends from the airbox hole to the hole left vacant by removal of the stock SMIC piping.

Extend piping so it takes in air from the front.

CAI completed.

I suppose the old cut a hole in the bottom of the airbox with a tube going to the front bar trick might work.

I was just wondering if there is like an over the radiator type CAI available, though they probably wouldn't fit with FMIC piping anyway.

There is another thread running which covers this topic. There is a guy who can make them out of pvc drain pipe too. that will look choice in your engine bay.

At the moment I have the standard cooler, but I will be going to a FMIC soon (probably one of the GKTech ones). I am getting a standard airbox, when everything goes in, I will have a look and see what I can do. I was just curious as to whether there was a CAI kit available aftermarket for the Skyline, if not, I will make my own up.
