Hey all,

was down at commercial polishers and they quoted me $800 to polish all four rims..

I have works meister s2r, they are deep dish..

Do you think that is worth it?

he also said just to clean and dip in acid, would be $140..

anyone know any other places?

I need to clean my rims.. brake dust and melted rubber are all over them.. :D

maybe try Elite plating... they *MIGHT* do polishing seperately as well. They did a lotta polishing for my dad's classic he was restoring, but he also gave them a lot of chroming business so unsure.

Try em anyway. :D

I had a set of Magnums polished by this guy for $50, but that was like ten years ago!

Yeah that sure sounds a bit rediculous. Try this mob

EXTENSIVE WHEEL SERVICES

307 South Rd Mile End 5031 (08) 8352 5777

I had both my front rims scraped & it cost $88 each to get them both polished back, though they're not a deep dish. I wouldn't think it'd cost a hell of a lot more to do yours, give them a go. They did a great job, would never know they were ever near a kerb.

Also try Adelaide Wheel & Rim just accross the road from them. I had 1 of mine fixed under insurance & extensive was the place they sent me to. So I don't know what these guys are like.

Yeah thanks every one for their input.. I'll do a bit more shopping around..

It's not that DIY option is beyond me..just that I don't think it'd give me the same outcome..

I saw the polish the guy did and it virtually looked chrome..

So I wonder if these other places do the same..

This time I'll prolli chuck the rims on the back of a ute and bring them in..haha.

cant reach you so read this, re: mate who got it done

$250 set of 4

    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365.
