frend of mine has a 240k 5 speed gearbox and he wants to sell it, but hes not sure how much exactly

we no that they arent that common, and they are pretty strong (apparently)

they are from the c110's are they not?

anyway i saw a reconditioned one for $400 bucks so...... how much is this one worth (decent condition)?

If it's not rebuilt and without a warranty it's pretty much caveat emptor, and this lowers their value.

I bought one for $50. He had it advertised for quite a while at $100 and had no takers...

I guess it all depends on if you can find someone who wants one. The 1600 boys used to love them, but I'm not sure if they're such a popular box anymore.

A big problem is postage of the thing, so you really have to look at your local market. If it's big, maybe chuck it up for $150 OBO and see what happens.

No one can get cheap 240k's these days to strip the diff, box and struts out of :D Thats why not popular.

and my mate has got a sss stanza 5 speed dogleg gearbox aswell - according to ur site datrats.com waz or dan that is worth about $400
