4wd Not Working After Clutch Installation - R32 Gtr

Hi

I got the clutch changed today and when i picked up the car, the 4WD light came on after i started it.

Anyone know what i can check before i take it back tomorrow?

The car is a R32 GTR with a PowerFC. I have no idea how to get a fault code or whatever so if anyone knows how to do this, can you please explain and i'll attempt it.

Check the ATTESA fluid. It is in the boot near the drivers side rear quater panel. May be worth bleeding it as well, which you'll need a hoist for.

any idea on what type of fluid it is? i'll check that before going back. also, could it be that they didnt top up the gearbox fluid all the way?

ATTESSA takes ATF, basically.

If you had a clutch replaced, then they probably had to disconnect the ATTESSA system to get the gearbox out. So, probably needs a proper bleed.

thanks guys, it was the fluid in the boot. it was almost on empty. topped up with ATF and its all good now.

Take it back to them and tell them to bleed the system as well if you want it to work.

Make sure you check the level of the attessa fluid in the boot with the ignition on. Its a pretty easy procedure to bleed, the GTR manual covers it.

But the guys who did your box should be the ones doing it for you.

ATTESA fluid is "Nissan Power Steering Fluid Special". p/n is KLF30-00004 for 4l can or KLF30-00001 for 1l can.

i think attessa actually use Matic D and that power steering one is for the hicas

u can read the bnr32 manual available on the net -- it`s stated there. Matic D is for transfer case but not for attesa.
